Last night I went to look at the Speedmaster watch.
The lady then pulled out a seamaster 300 60th anniversary edition. She said it was a limited edition watch. They got it in 2 days ago and not something they put up on display. She had it somewhere in the back.
    Both are beautiful watches.
I’ve noticed that omega comes out with limited edition watches here and there. My brother in law has the new snoopy watch... I saw the limited edition spectra watch so...
Do opportunities to purchase one of these limited edition watches come around often? Is it really in such limited availablty and high demand? (1 of 3557) I like the Speedmaster a little more but can purchase that one at any point.
    Thanks

It's limited, but it's not rare. I've still seen some for sale at multiple AD's, they pop up on the sales forum occasionally too for less than retail. I doubt it'll increase in value in the future like the Snoopy, it is however a superb watch.

It's like a SM300MC but has a much better size, also the finishing feels slightly better. The only thing I dislike is the bracelet. I've replaced it with a Bonetto Cinturini rubber strap and never looked back.

Buy it if you like it, not because you think you won't have another opportunity to - you will. This watch is awesome but there are more than enough to go around, and if it's the Speedmaster you want now then go for that.

Got it in 2 days ago? You mean 1 year and 3 months later, they're still not finished with their "limited edition" production run??

Considering it took Omega about a year to deliver 2,012 Speedy Tuesdays, it's not very surprising to think that 3,557 Seamasters would take a bit longer. They're also moving unsold stock around so it could be that

I have always loved the SM300. Such a classic look. But a Speedy, timeless in every way.

I got one not too long ago. Absolutely love it. Vintage design with cutting edge technology.
