The seller claims it is all original and from a single owner. I actually love all the patina on it, but the hands make it look like it was baked almost compared to the rest of the dial.
Also, can someone point me in the right direction for a good source to read up and learn about these vintage Seamaster 300s?
This is a great start http://thatwatchandmore.blogspot.com/2013/03/buying-vintage-omega-seamaster-300.html?m=1
This one is even better. The watch ended up selling for 5k. From what I quickly gathered, that is a pretty good deal...
In my opinion 5k is too much for a 300 BT in that condition. That one had seen a very hard life with a bad case, bad hands, mediocre dial and bezel. There are much nicer ones out there if you keep looking, even for 5k.

Looks like the seller didn't think 5k was enough: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/OMEGA-Se...=item1cc47c3e48:g:JgMAAOSwkERcG-qk:rk:32:pf:0Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
This will make you cry when you see it! I actually forgot to bid on this one due to being busy travelling. Still happy that a friend of mine got it. https://www.bukowskis.com/sv/auctions/610/40-omega-seamaster-300 44000SEK hammer price = 4300€ = 4860$
Well that one will be more like $6k with commission and isn't a BT which traditionally sell for substantially more.....
Yes you are correct, but this is for heavens sake a -64 HF with perfect dial and hands with the very rare bezel in also perfect condition. I myself would need to challenge me completely to compare this one to the one above. The condition on this one compared to the watch in the original thread is miles away. This was just my point. I don’t believe you find many under 5000€ anymore, but the condition vary a lot and you still can find nice ones for this money. And I would personally not buy the watch in this thread for 5900€ as it looks now to be on sale for. I’d keep looking for the much nicer ones. I also believe prices on the older -64 to -66’s non-BT’s are getting now closer to the same as a -68 to -69 BT.
This -63 lasted on eBay for about a day and change before the seller pulled it to "Sell to highest bidder" (I assume for an even higher price). Nice one. https://www.ebay.com/itm/352548312219?nordt=true&rt=nc&nma=true&orig_cvip=truePurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
