Hi Folks, recently came across this Omega Seamaster 30 Sub Seconds, which runs on caliber 268. Does the watch looks genuine? Are the inscriptions in the back related to a military unit (have seen similar on the Railmaster models, but not on the 30 series) Thanks
Hi, it is not a genuine military watch. Case inscription is done most likely during the re-dial period. Movement and case is omega. Hope it helps.
I like the look of that model as it somewhat resembles the railmaster look; still undecided on what to purchase Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
Only you can decide if you like it enough to buy it. It has pretty much zero collector value or kudos though. Only really worth the value of the average case and movement, but I'm sure the price is much higher.
You could buy a really nice Omega for that kind of money. Be patient and wait for a good watch, this one simply isn't
Thanks; as I said just looking at this point as there are many variations on Omega and Zenith vintage jumbo watches, still undecided if going SS, YG, rose gold or red gold Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
Don't buy that watch. It will take some patience but there are some authentic models out there that look very similar. Military Dial Seamaster 30 Pakistani Airforce Seamaster 30
Thanks for pictures; have seen some pictures online of similar watches, like the ones below: Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
Casenacl engraving doesn't seem right. Also the lume is very sloppy. Notice it spilling into the seconds register and over application compared to westmtn's post. Best of luck in your hunt for the piece of your dreams! The chase is what makes it fun! Thomas
Both the above Omegas are redials. Geezus Khryst, what is it with n00bs and black redials? NEW LAW AT OMEGA FORUMS: IF IT'S A BLACK DIALED VINTAGE OMEGA, NO MEMBER WITH LESS THAN 1000 POSTS IS ALLOWED TO CONSIDER IT. Infargincredible!
