Here today I have an exceptional Seamaster 2627 for sale. I lovely reference to have in the collection, but very difficult to find one in excellent shape due to the majority out there having soft lugs from decades of over-enthusiastic polishing. This one however is IMHO pretty much as good as it gets!

The beautiful cream waffle dial is in fantastic shape with just enough patina to let you know you're wearing a watch from the 1950's. The date window at six o clock is the earlier square variety.

The 2627 has an unusual case shape that sets it apart from other references from this period with its fancy lugs, This one is in gold top with lugs that are sharp and pronounced. The screw back case shows the 2627-8 reference marks.

The calibre 353 dates from around 1952 and is in good cosmetic shape, winding setting and running very well, with the date changing smoothly. I haven't had it serviced whilst in my possession. I forget to take macro's of the movement so here's one taken with my telephone camera

I have the watch fitted to a vintage brown leather strap which is in very good shape and really brings out the charm of this piece.
