I would really appreciate the insights of Omega experts in this forum on a Seamaster I happened to buy recently. I didn't pay much attention to the dial originally - what attracted me was the steel case, (seemingly) untampered dial, and matching 20160712_185046.jpg beads-of-rice bracelet in good condition at what I thought was a reasonable price. However, the dial has been growing on me, and I cannot seem to find a comparable on the web to study more. Thanks much in advance!

No info on the dial, but I do recall a similar dial being posted last year?

Any keywords to search for that might unearth that post?

Wow - thanks! Kind of nice to find out that the Omega museum has an example that looks like this.

I've seen 4-5 examples of this odd-ball dial before, all with the same logo, which is not only out of line for the 50s period, but also does not show up on any other dial of any period at all. It looks similar to modern logo, but (among other details) has different shape and the feet are much shorter.

Of course I haven't seen everything yet...

Ok...not sure what that means - are they later dials?

    AJTT has the "golf" as a 2677. Is yours a 2577 or a 2677? image.jpeg

Actually, if you blow up the picture, it's a Ref. 2577. I think that's a typo in the Omega book.

That is how I saw it too. Thank you for the clarification regarding the possible type-o.

Apologies, I meant to type 2577 - it's pretty clearly engraved in the caseback, I mistyped.

Came across this 2577-19 sc - as far as I can see, the 19's have all been black dials. Is this a real 2577 or a redial?

Dial is unique with all numeric markers, not refinished and probably original to this watch. Hands and crown are not correct though.
