    Hi everyone,

    First time poster here. :)

I have a Seamaster Ref. 2576-1 which I love. But I noticed something on the dial that's driving me nuts.

Basically, the tail end of number 9 can be seen lifting up from the dial. I'm not sure what causes this or if it's even a problem, but it gives me the feeling that the 9 numeral can fall off anytime... I wonder if it's possible (or even advisable) to do something about the issue? (e.g. Get a watchmaker to slightly press the tail down so it touches the dial)

    Thanks for your inputs!

The indexes and numbers are usually held to the dial with small legs that are peened over, much like a rivet.

Sometimes they come loose due to age/bad setting when fitted.

Best to find a proper watchmaker in your area who could either stake the "rivet" of use a suitable bonding agent to secure it.
