I have a Seamaster 2531.80 that I picked up about six months ago (and have been loving!). When I first got it the bezel was very stiff and took a lot of effort to rotate. I assume the previous owner never used it and it was probably a bit dirty inside if the condition of the bracelet was a good indicator of the lack of cleaning the piece received.

In the past few weeks I've noticed that the bezel, when in the position where the triangle is at the top, makes a clicking noise and depresses ever so slightly when pushed down but only between 1 and 5 o'clock, with the most play and noise at exactly 3 o'clock. Strangely if I rotate the bezel to any other position, such as triangle at 6, the play and noise do not appear.

Does anyone have an idea of what the issue could be? I read another post that suggested the bezel could be slightly bent but I would think the issue would happen no matter how it was rotated if that was the case.
