Hi all!!!; currently I own a Seamaster 2264 "Peter Blake" Quartz. This watch has been stopped more than 10 years and, of course, battery is empty and it has damaged the Quartz movement, so it´s time to salve this problem...

As far as I know, Seamaster 2254 (1120 caliber) and 2264 (Quartz) both are the same Watch in terms of size, case, dial..., but here goes my question: could it be technically possible to install an 1120 caliber (ETA 2892) inside my Seamaster 2264?.

Thanks in advance for your support.

Greetings from Madrid!!!

Why not send it to a professional and just get it repaired?

These were/ are expensive watches and worth repairing.

Messing about with changing the movement could knock $000 off the value

Not enough caseback clearance either, the auto is deeper. It’s not possible without swapping most of the watch, if at all. If you want to get it working on the cheap, either find and drop in a working 1538 or the identical ETA equivalent which will be cheaper.

The case, dial, and hands are all different. This always sounds very easy to do, but it's way more complicated than people think...
