Hi all. I’ve been looking for a Seamaster 2230.50 (non-AC dial) for some time but have come up empty so far. Wondering if I can purchase a 2533.50 (AC dial) - which seem much easier to find in near mint condition - and swap in the dial from the 2230.50? Is it possible to source the 2230.50 dial? I’d be glad to go through an experienced forum member or AD to purchase the dial and do the swap. Pics below borrowed from Omega. All thoughts appreciated. Thanks!

It looks like you’d need to change the hands as well as the lume looks different.

Is that true? They look similar to me. Is there a way to confirm the part number? (Apologies for being an amateur.).

Thanks very much. Yeah - that’s a big number for a dial. Will check with my local watchmaker about a direct purchase option from Omega.

I think part number is the same; color may change due to the UV light (same apply to hour markers) or just different lighting or angle of both pictures above

Maybe try cousinsuk.com for the dial. I bought my non AC a few years ago when it had just been serviced. Luckily it can with the old dial (which was replaced due to missing lume). I had the old dial relumed in white rather than the slightly greenish white of the original and then used in a project.

I see in an earlier post that you previously swapped out the lollipop second hand for the more angular second hand from the PO 42mm. I think the combination looks amazing on the 2230.50. Do you happen to have the part number for the PO second hand? In for a penny, as they say . . . Thanks!

Part number for the 22305000 dial is 064WZ3121001. H/M hands for that watch are 065PZ4136 , and sweep seconds hand is 066PZ4094.

For the 25335000 the H/M hands are 065PZ4075 and the sweep seconds hand is 066PZ4094 .

Thank you - very helpful. Do you happen to have the part number for the sweep seconds hand on the PO 2201.50? I've seen that swapped on to the 2230.50 and IMHO, it looks great.

Thanks for sharing Al. What about the stainless steel bezel / white gold insert assembly l? Did both 2230.50 and 2533.50 share the same bezel assembly? What is the part number for it?

Hi Al you have previously indicated that not all Seamaster’s have the same hands elevation (stem lengths); does 2230 (non AC) and 2532 (AC) share the same hands elevation? Wonder if the non AC dial with raised markers can be fitted on the AC model without bending hands

For the 22305000, the seconds wheel is this one:

    7221120300273 | SECOND WHEEL H3 5.11

For the 25335000, the seconds wheel is this one:

    7221120300271 | SECOND WHEEL H1 4.61

So there's a 1/2 a mm difference in the length of the post that the seconds hand mounts to, which is very significant...

Thanks Al, was wondering if the heights were the same, which they are not.

lume color should be the same on both. The difference in the photos are likely an artifact of color enhancement.

Logic suggests this but it is not necessarily so. Several lume colours were used on the SMP variants and if I read Al's post earlier right, the AC and non AC use hands with different part numbers so may indeed have different shades of lume. It has to be said some SMP lume is whiter, and some more green even in the same light. Having said that, my non AC lume looks way less green that that picture in normal light.

They are not the same...edit to add an example...

Top single minute hand is from a different watch than the two lower hands - the lume in person is strikingly different, with the top being much more yellow in colour.
