I am new member to forum, this is my Dads automatic date Seamaster, he bought it between 1955-1957 while working in Persia (Iran). He wore it every day till he died in 1965.
My mother gave me it for my 21 birthday in 1972, The watch lay in the draw till the late 80s when my wife had a new glass fitted. I wore it for a while but started to loose time so was put away till yesterday, I have taken it to be cleaned and serviced keeping its patina
The servicing will to photographed and any parts changed will be returned to me for the watches records as it will pass to my son.
The watch measures 34mm including crown, and face is 32mm, it originally had a steel expanding bracelet, I don't know if it was a original Omega or 3rd party.
Once the back is removed I will get the number and Calibre, I have been told it is a Calibre 333 or 353 but once once back is off I will get the number and Calibre.
I would be grateful for any information about this watch, a valuation for insurance purposes and I photo of any paperwork and box that would have come with watch, so I can try and source replacements. IMG_1517342327257.jpg 20180129_195121.jpg 20180129_195130.jpg

Caliber 553 I'would say. Tell us the reference inside the caseback. As for valuation such a watch could be between 5 and 700 euros according to its condition.
