    Hello omega experts,

I was doing some research on my vintage Omega Seamaster 166.010 and discovered that according to Omega, this case reference (166.010) is from 1962 and the 562 caliber in it (serial 22736339) would be from 1965.

I read that the difference between the year of the case and the year of the movement should be 1 or 2 years maximum. Does this mean that this movement was replaced at some point?

I'm sending a picture of the watch now (crown, crystal and bracelet properly replaced), the movement prior to maintenance and post maintenance.

    Thank you,

    Guiro

If you are referring to the Omega vintage database, the year listed for the reference may just be the first year it was made. Most references were made for a number of years, not just one. And the OVD is incomplete with frequent errors anyway. A better approach would be to do a search on this reference, find a handful of them, and get a sense of the serial number range. Personally, I wouldn't be concerned.
