Seamaster 165.024 Watch/Bracelet date variance

Can anyone advise me, regarding a Seamaster 300 165.024, whether it’s common for the bracelet to be from an earlier year than the watch (April 1965 as opposed to Jan 1967, for example)? Is there a ‘production year’ for Omega watches similar to cars and motorcycles (for example, Triumph motorcycles production year would generally start in August and end in July the next year - so the new year models would arrive in dealers in late August or September). Thank you.

Bracelet/straps were bought separately at the point of sale of the watch, so it is a function of just how long they were held in stock by the dealer at the time of sale.

Plus over the last 40-50 years, that pairing of watch/bracelet could have switched many times.

Thanks - that explains why quite often one sees bracelets dated after the production date of the watch. Makes sense now!

Very nice - the one I’m looking at is very similar. I’ll post a photo if I buy it.

Yes, the only difference seems to be the one I’m looking at has a slightly later bezel.
