I'm addicted to buying vintage watches. Especially those from original owners, estate sales or house clearances where they haven't been cleaned or prepared for sale. I used to try and get Speedmasters this way, but recent price increases, coupled with the ongoing extension from hell has temporarily priced me out if the market. However, I still need my fix so I turned my attention to dress Omegas with interesting dials. I recently acquired a sigma dial Seamaster DeVille and today this c.1960 'pyjama' dial Seamaster 14744 arrived. It came with a flat link bracelet with a clasp that looks like a 7912 with a few stretch links, but the inner clasp has no Omega markings. Instead it is just stamped Stainless Steel. Has anyone come across this before? Is the most obvious answer - that the inner clasp was damaged and replaced with generic pieces, likely correct? Is the rest correct for a 7912?
Hi D Inner extension bar possibly from something like this ? See: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Unsigned...D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network The rest looks legit to me....if HMRC now leave me alone - dibs.... That's what I'm thinking, a generic inner clasp after the original 7912 part was damaged. The outer clasp and links etc look correct to me for a 7912.
