I already have a modern Speedmaster, but would love to add a Cal. 321 Omega to the stable. The '69 Seamaster Chronograph looks, IMO, great and has that sweet chronograph pusher feel that makes newer Speedies seem a bit agricultural.

How much are these worth in good condition? I realise they cost the same to maintain as a higher valued Speedmaster, but I reckon it should be somewhat cheaper to purchase. I have my eyes set on a certain specimen, but don't want to get carried away on the bidding.

I believe if its a 321 then it would be a 66-67, after this they used the 861 movement

    I thought I recognized that one! ;)

As pascs said, this is a 1966 model, with the cal. 321. There was an otherwise identical version with the 861 released in 1968 (I forget the ref. #). The 145.006 I have seen seem to be in the $2-3K range, depending on condition, so -- yes -- cheaper to obtain than a cal. 321 Speedy.

Damn... The version I have seen for sale is a 1968 version, so a 861 :(
I haven't seen it refered to previously, so just presumed it was a 321... Didn't realise that Omega used the 861 that early!

Adam78 - thanks for letting me steal the photo ;)

    I think it was 145.029.
