Hi, Considering this Seamaster 30, but curious to get some feedback. It looks like the case has been polished and I'm not sure about the applied hour markers. Most of the ones I have seen have the small lume plots at the tips, not in the middle of the markers. Should I have any concerns about this being a redial? Or is this a factory style I just haven't seen before? Anything else I'm not seeing? Thanks!
What are you on about with the lume? Because I don't see any lume at all (which matches with the lack of Ts at the bottom of the dial). The crown might be a replacement.
I agree, there is no lume in the markers or hands. It's a black inlay. Dial looks ok. Yes, the case is polished. Do you have a photo of the inside of the case-back?
Ah, sorry, still learning here. I thought I read somewhere that some types of lume aged out to a black color, but may have made that up... Thoughts on the watch overall?
Hour markers should be OK. I am not sure about the case back. IMO it should have only the engraving of the seamonster not a relief. Check the reference on the inner side of the case back. There should be the reference 135.003 or 135.007. Duffy According to the serial number the watch should be from 1963. This is correct for the Seamaster 30 reference. The Seamaster writting with the "round S" is also correct for 1963.
