    HEY Guys,

New to the forum and to watches. I picked up an Omega Seamaster 120m yesterday and took it to an authorized Omega dealer thinking it just needed a new battery and bezel. The guy replaced the battery but it did not work and said it needed a new board and would have to send it to Omega. The cost to get it running is $300-500 estimate. My question is do you think it’s worth it?

I think its not worth it as it can reach the higher end of that estimate quickly. You can probably find a donor movement for $100 or so and keep it as beater.

It does look nice on your wrist. This can be a very rewarding and enjoyable restoration project.
If you take it on, it would be great for you to update this thread.
    Good luck on your journey...

It's also missing the dive numbered ceramic chapter ring right? That'll put up the cost too..

I will. Considering I paid $20 for it I’m thinking it might be fun.
