Been looking for a Samaster 300 for some time with not much luck with in my price range , I came across this one is the dial and hands original to the year ?
The bezel I can buy old new stock for $200-300 it would be a compromise .

    Thanks steve

A 165.014 dial should have the trapezoidal hour markers, same as seen on the 165.024. The hands should be candlesticks (fat baton). Based on what I can see, the dial and hands are probably original omega, but not original to the watch. As is, it looks like a 14755. There are of course brochures showing Seamaster 300s in all sorts of dial/hand combinations, but the standard 164.014 "look" is trapazoids and candlesticks.

I'm curious about where you can get a NOS bezel for $200-$300...

I think the dial is fine, see here; http://chronomaddox.com/seamaster_3oo_a_history.html
The hands? it is an early 1962 movement so could possibly have had hands from a 1961 model (14755) from the factory, but as said above, more usual to have "candlestick" hands.

    All IMO of course
$200-$300 nos bezel? I'd love to see that!

thanks for the info it really difficult to find a genuine speed master 300 that hasn’t been doctored it so frustration when you think it original.

This is the action number from EBay (291474923706 ) I made a mistake with dollar’s and the pounds sorry I should have put £200 -£300 .

    Thanks steve

I am no expert, but I don't think that is going to cut it with the watch you have shown us. It looks like the bezel for the 166.024, not the 166.014. Have a look at the pictures in that link.

I am also on the search, and I am sure there are many of us out there...

There are about 20 people on this forum wanting a new (better) bezel including me. If you find any, please let us know after you purchase yours, of course. 300 pounds would be a bargain.

That is the newer SM300 bezel. More readily available compared to the earlier version "goose neck pip". I've had these on my search for years. I come across one every other year or so and the price usually exceeds my threshold of pain. Last one went for $1K.

there is no such thing as a bezel for this model for $200-$300 no matter what dollar is used.

You can expect to pay $1500-$2500 for a real bezel for this if you are lucky. The best option is to remove this bezel and send it to Aldo in Italy and have him create a new one...his look amazing, you just have to be patient. At least 3-4 months minimum

As far as correctness goes, I looked closely at this earlier. Its either all wrong or its all right. No way to tell for sure, but I suspect based on the serial number its a transitional piece and could possibly be they way it was delivered from Omega with the hands from earlier reference...or it could be pieced together.

As I'm no except in anyway shape or form with regards to omega watches or the seamaster 300 , I simply displayed a link to from eBay to an auction selling what I thought was ONS genuine omega 300 bezel see attachment the price is correct between £200-£300 . Is give in the description the models that this bezel will fit .
You may be correct in you pricing for an original bezel I can't say as I'm no expert.

this is not the correct bezel. Actually the watch above has the bezel on it...the bezel insert is missing. Well its not actually an "insert" but an applied bakelite finish which has come off.
