I thought about posting in The Great Big Introduction thread, but since this is where I usually lurk, here it goes... Pics were taken with my phone and the light in my place isn't really right for great pics - it's either too dark or too bright - so you get what you get for now. I'm trying to see if I can resurrect my actual camera's battery to get additional pics. On the left: 105.012-65 (on 1039/516 bracelet) On the right: 145.022-69 (on 1171/633 bracelet) The 145.022 was my first acquisition. I got it last year as a present to myself - it was an excellent year for me. It's a Pre-Moon '69 w/ c. 861 - the caseback is the simple hippocampus. It came with the 1039/516 bracelet and, as far as I can tell, it was original to the watch as is the "220" bezel. I did an extract of the archives and the late '70 production date matches with what's in MWO. The hands aren't original - they're replacements - but I don't really mind. That's how I bought it and I think they look great. The only thing I changed after getting it was to swap on an 1171 bracelet with 633 ends from Ofrei. The 1039 bracelet feels a little flimsy, but, then again, it's lasted for 45 years so maybe it's not so bad. However, it's super expensive to replace so I may get another 1171/633 for the other watch... My second Speedmaster is a 105.012-65. I got it this year after much research here and other sites. I wanted a c. 321 Speedy, one that was even closer to those worn on the moon than my '69. I jumped when I saw this one. It came with a leather band (also shown below), but I'm a metal bracelet kinda guy so I put the 1039 bracelet on there since it wasn't doing anything else at the time. Everything else looks original - hands, crown, pushers, double-step caseback. I think even the hesalite crystal. The macro shots were done using a jeweler's loupe in front of the camera lens on my phone. Couldn't resist playing. The '65: The '69:
