Hello, This is my first post on the Omega Forum. I have been studying and working on wristwatches for less than a year, but have taken apart, cleaned and reassembled the Eta 6497 several times and invested in a collection of high quality tools, recommended oils etc. I definatley have the bug and can't seem to find enough time for this addictive hobby. I enjoy reading the posts on this forum and learn a lot here. My problem today is with the lower jewel screw. It has vanished into the great abyss. I believe one day I might find it with all my lost socks. I cannot find the technical guides for this movement that list this part specifically, buy have found them for 280-281-283 on Borel's site. The PC RC designation was re numbered in 1949 with these calibers but don't feel confident. Can someone help with a part number or suggestion. I do see screws assorted/graded for lower jewel screws at various supply houses and have read about ways to determine screw pitch. What is the best way to proceed? I have included pre disassembly photos. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!
Probably not, I don't think an incabloc screw is identical to a simple counter pivot (so, no antishock) screw. Better find the parts list for a non antishock movement.
