Indeed it appears as they have.

These are the positions for the dial feet which must have been broken off and some idiot decided to do this instead of having the dial repaired.

This is one of the worst hatchet jobs I've seen in some time.

Oh my Gawd, WTF did they do - try to replace dial feet with countersunk screws?

Could be worse, you send it to a shonky Swedish watchmaker and you end up needing an Allen Key to take the dial off.

Vince from Shamwow would be an example of a shonky salesman.

    Respectable CanberraOmega

If they have screw-down winding-crown and screw-down back cover to make a watch water-resistant, why not a screw-down dial to to protect the watch movement, in the event water gets into the watch, from the top?

I think the watchmaker who did this, should apply for a patent, soon.

    Thank-you.

    From the ad:

Nice watch. Its from between 1959 and 1962, im not exactly sure. It still works and keeps time. It is in excellent shape. Swiss made, Very collectible watch. All stainless steel. If theres any questions please ask. This is a good watch. Guaranteed authentic. I never opened the back, i dont have the proper tools to open it without scratching or marring it. Its been in my family since it was brand new. Its all original, no replaced parts . I know this watch is rare.
