Screw back on Constellation.

    Hey guys drawing on your knowledge once more. What do you guys think of this case back? Have you seen normal wear like this?

    Could have been worn and then polished, buy either way been polished.
    That is a good reference too :(

    The Connie has the 505 movement in it and besides the case back being polished down it looks great. Would this be a reason to keep looking? Still getting my feet wet so I'm trying to make good informed decisions and what better place than here to ask right? Once again thank you all for the info.

    You can't make a decision based on just the back. How about pictures of the front and inside?

    This is a more uncommon Constellation reference, so it would be acceptable to me. How's the gold cap on the other side though?

    It's that a distortion by the crystal or the hour markers at 8, 9 and 10 are really shorter than the rest?

    I would pass on it unless the price was really good or if you really like it. The front is also pretty polished down and the crown is not original. The dial also has some problems with some black paint missing from the markers.
