Has anyone been lucky enough to scratch their Cerachrom bezel? The one that is supposed to be impervious to scratches. I know its possible but ya....

Did you scratch your Cerachrom bezel, or is this just a general question?

Is it scratched or is it marked up by a soft plastic. Have you tried taking a rubber pencil erasure to it so see if it goes away.

The hardest substance known to man is diamond. But diamond can be scratched........! By another diamond! The ratings on the Mohs scale of hardness are based on the resistance of a substance to scratching when abraded by another substance of the same hardness. So cerachrome can be scratched by cerachrome, or any substance that is the same hardness, or harder. Diamond is 140 times harder to scratch by another diamond, than corundum, the next hardest mineral on the Mohs scale, being scratched by corundum.

    Cheap fix .
Experiment with a laundry marker or fine tip black marker.
It is scratched down to the metal so a few applications will be needed to fill the valley.
This may not be good enough for you but it will do no harm and may make it almost invisible.
    Best of luck.
    Marco.

They do pick up micro scratches over time. I had one replaced at service once. About 300 quid for the insert if my memory serves me correctly.

Just hit with a sharpies pen, done and done.
Of course, I'm being flippant, that really sux and would bother the Hell out of me too. Well worth the $300 to replace if that's all it is.
