Scratch Monsters

I want to call out the Speedmaster, in most all of its iterations, as NOT being a Scratch Monster, excluding the lateast Mark II. If you would by chance glance at the time, it will scratch.....The Speedy has got it right, hard to discern a scratch....
I will name, a couple more, add to the list
1) VC Overseas, if you attempt to put it on, it will scratch
2) Speedmaster Mark II, if you happen to glance at the time, it will scratch....
I had to mention Mark II twice

PP Aquanaut. Sold for that reason - who knew they'd be worth a gazzilion $$? 😜

And these Zeniths are gorgeous - but same.

So both gone and making someone else happy (and maybe a bit anxious to keep them pristine when worn?). There was a similar thread somewhere about wearing NOS/pristine examples of any reference for fear of marring them. I have never been one to keep a safe queen for very long.

The Zenith is a stunner. I have been looking them up / that photo really captures the watch well.

Zenith is still with a forum member, but haven't seen it in a while...

It has had two very careful Cape Cod Cloth sessions. These cases are lovely but they are scratch magnets.

Very nice Zenith, not much more needs to be said about the PP, classis. You may have put Zenith back on my radar.

Polished bezel and center links that scratch if you cough near them...

Suppose it depends on how you use your watch, but with mostly brushed surfaces the Speedmaster does tend to not show the wear marks, while more polished watches much easier to see the wear marks.

sold mine for that reason:
I had that watch, slipped my memory until now, reminded me of the Oris Diver I have, kept the Oris Titanium, broomed the IWC, I think mine had a grey face

Agreed.my eyes are immediately directed toward the scratch and then need to look a second time to tell the time, and then drawn to yet another scratch, etc... etc... etc....what time is it?
