Steve just finished up this one so I thought a few quick shots were necessary before it goes to NY to be taken to a show with the intent of selling it.

Check out how crisp the medallion is!

The bracelet is what makes this watch though.

Keeping time well within chronometer specs, and it even passed 30 m pressure testing. Great watch, but I'm really not a bracelet guy and this original pairing should not be broken up.

Damn... that's a seriously nice piece and I love the bracelet, and AM a bracelet guy.

If the endlinks are 18mm, it would be gone by now, I believe.

19 mm, and I haven't even listed it anywhere. Just don't have the time recently to shoot all the proper photos, list it on all the forums & eBay, put up with tire kickers, etc. Ed at Faber's Gallery has sold a couple watches for me and always gotten my what I wanted, which is at least what I would have netted after all the fees and deductions if it sold on eBay.

Hoi - or anyone - if you know somebody that wants it tell me before it's gone.

I didn't realize these were brushed until just now, I thought the links were all polished, but the brushing tones the bling factor down a bit

Yes, big time. All of the cases had the circular brushing over the lugs, and straight line brushing on the sides too. I've seen some that had sunburst brushing on the top of the bezel and a few with polished bezels.

Wanna know what's hilarious? The eBay sellers asking nearly 10K for these. The lowest I saw was $7900-ish, and that was for the thinner mesh bracelet.

I'm not a gold watch person, but this one is stunning.

I always prefer a 2699 , because it has a crewback and the first piepan design of the constellations.

ps...I've asked the guy and he will have a look at it.

Yep, we've had this conversation before - and while I certainly agree the first of any series is the most collectable, I like the applied metal OMEGA over the inked version. That's why I wanted a 2799. ;)

Do you mean the C-case? Thanks Hoi. You're the bestest!
