Hi everyone, I have inherited several years ago this watch from my grandfather.
It seems the person of the watch is the king of Saudi Arabia!
Does someone know something about this beautiful watch! I like it so much!
I have found a similar one here http://www.heirloom2.com/non-chronographs.htm but it is not the same.
Thanks a lot for your kind attention
    Best regards

A slight bit of research shows that the portrait is not of King Ibn Saud, but is of Sheik Essa Bin Sulman Al-Khalïfa, the Emir of Bahrain.

    http://forum.tz-uk.com/showthread.php?117278-Omega-buffs-please-help-on-inhereted-Vintage-Seamaster

The second link shows the Omega Vintage Database listing for the 18K Seamaster version of this watch shown above. That was done back in the good ole days od 2010, when Omega gave information about dials in the database.

    Hope this helps,

Most of the examples we see are in rough shape, that's a surprisingly clean one. Cool piece! Do you know any of the story behind how your grandfather ended up with it? What did he do for a living?

My grandfather bartered this watch with a no brand automatic one, with a guy from Libano. I think this watch was probably stolen and difficult to sell in arab countries, because this guy from Libano wanted to exchange even with a cheap watch.

It is good conditions because no one weared it in the last 20 years! Before I don't know, maybe it was inside a hidden safe of a rich arab man!
