Hi gang, It's Saturday night. Just thought I'd post pair of watches. Similar in appearance, but very different from each other. Got a pair that look similar but aren't at all?
Good Evening @oddboy [emoji137] I mean Good Morning @oddboy from the other side of the world . Here are the twins but very different in characters
It's Saturday night @oddboy you should be....... It's Sunday morning here. Time for watch posts then.
Yes Sir I did but I need a proper HD camera to present the 45th on the forum. This is your thread so I wont post it here.I'll just PM you some handphone photos...
Here's mine: Blued stick hands, 16mm lugs, calatrava style, sub dial...the orange got sold and the Longines is in for servicing.
@gemini4 - was the Ranchero really meant for ranchers? I've always wondered about the name and how it's part of Railmaster lineage...
"In 1958, Omega created a watch line called Ranchero. It was inspired by the Railmaster, the Seamaster 300 and the arrowhead hand of the 1957 Speedmaster, so there was no mistaking its lineage. Ranchero: sound of freedom, adventure and virility.. Omega’s cowboy should have become the entry-level model in the late 1950’s. But the watch encountered resistance in Spanish-speaking countries, from potential customers who were put off by its name that means “ranch hand” in Spanish" http://www.watchprosite.com/?page=wf.forumpost&fi=677&ti=965913&pi=6723988
Thank you for enlightening me too @gemini4. All this while I thought it meant Btw, that wisecracking joke about the balaclavas in the sock drawer was an absolute gem. Your witty spontaneous tongue in cheek sense of humour can light up any dull moment !
OK...I am ignorant. I have seen "RM" before but have forgotten what currency it is..please enlighten me, Meganfox17
Absolutely Sir. That's in the Malay language --> Ringgit Malaysia ( RM ) or Malaysian Ringgit ( MYR ) Foreign watch afficionados from the west must be rubbing their hands in glee staring at those prices. The Ringgit's value has dropped significantly against the Greenback due to multiple economic & political issues , now it's USD1 =RM4.35 making Malaysia one of the cheapest places to buy watches ! That's retail prices & the customer gets varying discount rates depending on where you come from[emoji3] if ya' know what I mean[emoji6]
