Miami Salvation Army received a 321 Speedie as donation and they have put it on EBay. They don't even know the reference number,; it's a 105.012 HF I think. Year unknown. It has a dirty or rusted 1506/16 bracelet, dated 1966. , no movement shot, scratched case back from someone trying to open it the wrong way. Dial, bezel, hands, pushers are correct. They wound it and it works!!

And it's past $4500 after 4 hours on a 7 day auction. Wow.

Nice piece, someone'll enjoy that a lot. Glad nobody from the Salvos ended it early for someone offering $2k cash.

Using the wrong scissors will do that.

That scratch would remind you that the money you spent on it went to a good cause.

    Come on. Let's play.

I reckon a run down 105.012 can be worth as little as $3000 - but that would have some missing parts, or signs of being attacked over the years by unsympathetic watch smiths.

This watch seems in touched. I know that there is no movement, but how bad can it be? As long as the original movment is in there, no matter what the condition, it remains an original watch. As long as the number bridge is there, it can be restored.

This is your actual barn find, untouched watch from what I can see. The damaged case back could be a good sign that no one got in. (I'm an optimist).

This is an opportunity to take an original piece, service and clean it without changing any cosmetics, and have a completely original looking watch. I think that there are those who might get very exited by this.

My guess is up to $7200. If it's more I will be surprised.

    Barn find, 100% original, untouched.

    I reckon a big premium.

Let's see, I cold be allowing my imagination to run too far.

Desirable watch, even has original spring bars. At the end $ 8,100 for me.

That Speedy is in excellent condition. The bracelet too, which should be USD 1200 alone. The only flaw is that unfortunate scratch.

    Seems to be a 105.012-65, possibly a -64

USD 7.200 is a good guess, +1 on it. If the results deviates, it will be north of that.

If it does go that high it'll be purely because of how many perspective buyers are fed up to hell with the numbers of assembled for sale / touched up for sale models with someone's fingerprints all over them and are willing to go big just for the assurance that it hasn't been screwed with.

Really gorgeous barn find. Once it has a round of PolyWatch and the bracelet is cleaned, that's going to be a hell of a Speedy.

I also own a Speedmaster 105.012 with a 1506/16 bracelet and production date 4th quarter 1966. It is a reference 105.012-65. I'm thinking this one is as well.

Well I had to put my money where my mouth was.....

    It is mine!

Now I just have to cajole them into overnight shipping or I have to wait 10 days to see it.

My plan is to do nothing to it - or at least as little as possible.

    Ill keep you posted

Congrats, and good guess on the final price. I bet the dial looks great after the crystal meets some polywatch.
