Another couple of photo's I'd like to share from the Salon QP show include the Omega "Cosmic" Triple Moonphase and the Cartier Triple Calendar Moonphase. Both are incredible watches that were on display in the same cabinet. I have a clear favourite. You decide. Hope you enjoy.

I'll take door No. 1, Monty. An 18kt gold TDM vs. a steel cased TDM is no contest.

Now would you like to hold or gamble. Will you go though the door to the cabinet that was next to these two? It has the Jacob's Astonomia sky in it. I still had a clear winner. Standing between the two cabinets for ages I still had a c clear winner. WP_20171103_15_41_05_Pro.jpg WP_20171103_15_41_22_Pro.jpg

But isn't that a bit like asking whether I rather have a Bugatti Veyron or a Porsche 911?

Maybe, if that were the question I would go with the 911 or the Watch from REC that was made out of a vintage re-cycle 911. They were also at the show. Something I had never seen before. Check out case back it is made to look like the Hub from a 60's 911. So cool.

That is cool. It even has the drilled disk brake rotor behind the spokes. Thanks for sharing.

My pleasure and my choice of all of these watches would be the Omega Cosmic.

The Cartier watch was made by Jaeger-LeCoultre, if that makes a difference to anyone.

I'm an Omega fanboy, but the longer I'm in this hobby, the more respect I have for that name. I just can't pronounce it!
Zha-zher lacoot or something like that, I need to get a European girlfriend.

My only JLC so far, the Atmos. I know you've had these also, Evan.

I presume you're referring to @AnotherDon example rather than the Salon QP one.

I just got here, that's a beautiful Cosmic, but the Omega font and the radial flip (in black) urge me to tread tenderly.

@gatorcpa I still prefer the Omega Cosmic, but your LeCoultre point does make the Cartier more interesting from a rarity perspective. Salon QP gave out a magazine that did a nice article on the history of the Cartier Tank. It said how it developed the Tank with LeCoultre and used their movements in the Tanks. Unfortunately Cartier struggled to sell large enough volumes and so the relationship broke down. So this would make this one very rare.
