Blank = ? For context, I'm looking to purchase my first nice watch. I've decided on a vintage Patek (probably a simple Calatrava) for various reasons and just want to gain as much knowledge as I can before settling on a specific one. I want to protect myself, as much as possible, from redials, replaced crowns, frankenwatches, fakes, etc. If you can point me in the right direction I would GREATLY appreciate it. What are the must read sites/books? Best place to purchase a vintage Patek? Thanks in advance!
The only encyclopaedic Patek source comparable to Sala for UG that I know is Patrizzi, but I have the impression it is not well thought of, and it is certainly getting dated. http://www.amazon.com/Collecting-Na...ie=UTF8&qid=1456179064&sr=1-24&keywords=patek Goldberger is a pleasure to browse through, like all of his books. http://www.amazon.com/Patek-Philipp...&ie=UTF8&qid=1456179056&sr=1-4&keywords=patek
