I am in the process of letting go of a great piece, spectacular condition, very desirable, box and papers, basically unreplaceable. An absolute safe queen (a big reason to move it on). While I have regretted selling a number of pieces in the past (particularly as the market has moved up significantly), this time, at least for now, the decision feels comfortable. Of course, there is always the sadness of letting go of something special or beloved. If the deal is completed, trading my special piece will allow me to get a grail that I have long dreamed of but never expected to own. That wouldn't have been possible otherwise. It was just a confluence of fortunate events, being in touch with the right guy at the right moment, him getting the right piece and reaching out to me, me having something he really wanted and was willing to pay what to me was a premium (although he is the expert so presumably he will do even better moving my piece than what he expected with his), and a fair trade for both parties. Hope some of you have had and will have similar experiences. Best to all. Nick
Freebird just started playing on the radio as I finished reading your post.. Fate, I guess. Good luck with it all!
Damn, if thats what you gave up...what you are getting must be spectacular! Cant wait to see what you added
Ok, OK. And the arrival...my grail. Best to all. Big smile with this one. Easily the best example I have ever seen. If I can get a good pic you can really see the beauty and condition.
Idk Calalum, I have a 6542 and you do indeed have a nice example. However, I rarely wear it because that bloody bezel is so damn fragile. The Daytona is more robust and more amenable to daily wear. Perhaps consider replacing the bezel if you plan to wear frequently.
