Please, for the love of god, can we get more 89xx-series GMT movements in smaller cases? Need a new Diver 300 or Aqua Terra in the new cases with this movement.

I've been hearing no upcoming Snoopy as well. It will be interesting to see how they will celebrate (design-wise)....
Same, no Snoopy news in hawaii as well.

The guy at the Madrid OB confirmed me the steel 321 Speedy is coming, and it will be expensive.
According to him the basic Speedy Pro will continue to use the 1861. The 3861 will be used on special models.
But he was also quick to say that they know about the same as we do. So.....

The rumour mill is just great, you can read just about anything from any watch brand, yet in reality there is very little hard fact.

My 10p's worth:

A13 50th LE - Yes will happen, AD is happy to take names for a list, what will it have - who knows, what will it be made of - metal, will it have Snoopy - Yes / No / Maybe

JB New Film LE - Yes will happen, AD has a list already

What quantities will these LE be in - 7000+ watches per collection

321 in Stainless Steel - No and Yes, No - it will be announced in the next few weeks so not technically a 2020 watch, Yes - as you won't see a SS 321 until 2020 so could be classed as a 2020 watch. This timepiece will be pricey, it will feature sapphire crystals both sides and a ceramic bezel, dial and hands retro but still new. As for numbers - no limit but restrained by physical movements available each year so think Rolex Daytona or BLNR waiting list times and double it as a minimum.

What else, well a couple of price rises one in May the other in October, the announcement that the 1861 is being discontinued everything will be 3861 driven.

Waiting lists for some watches as Omega reduces production to create a false shortage and drive prices up, a la Rolex conspiracy theories.

LE's will only be sold to customers who have previously bought from the shop, at least 1 Seamaster and 1 Speedmaster.

Not a rumor but an open letter / reminder to Omega management as in several interviews they talked about "solving" this issue:
Frustrated Speedmaster collectors' community members missing out on the LE releases, seeing these being flipped above retail prices on other online platforms...
As 2020 will see the 50th Apollo 13 Speedmaster whether or not in combination with #SpeedyTuesday ( 14 April 2020 )... Omega's bet on online sales had a positive reaction worldwide so Omega management might put in place some kind of RoI - Register of Interest with members of the global Speedmaster community who express interest in future (online) Speedmaster releases.
Newly produced watches in the (online) series could be made available at a one-per-person basis to the SpeedyTuesday community.
Omega certainly understood the power of online social media and the effect it had on the hearts & minds of the passionate Speedmaster community.

If I understand this correctly, a Speedmaster enthusiast registers with Omega, when a LE is available Omega will notify those on the register, the enthusiast then confirms whether they want the watch, pays a deposit and is then referred to an AD or just deals direct with Omega (not sure how this bit works).

This is a good idea but still won't stop those with multiple e-mail addresses and the ability to send watches to family or friends addresses from buying more and flipping them.

The best way to stop the flippers is to make the LE a SE (Special Edition) and increase production numbers, this way the watch becomes less desirable to flippers (unfortunately maybe collectors as well) as there are more watches to go round. My guess would be a run of 7000+ watches for A13 50th, the A11 50th proved that there is sufficient interest to warrant a large production run.

At a meeting with fellow spaceflight & Speedmaster aficionados, everyone liked the Gold 2019 Apollo Tribute Speedmaster but wondered who came up with the Buzz Butt logo for the " Metal Magic " Apollo 50th Speedmaster.
Hoping that these watches just fitted in their worldwide strategy ( a comment I always got when talking to Omega ) and that they reserved the launch a true Stainless Steel Speedmaster ( 321 ) chronograph to celebrate the 50th Apollo 13 mission in 2020... hopefully in the style of the 1976 Italian market ASTP Speedmaster...
