·Hi OF,
One more on the block -- my two button Lemania chronograph. These were issued as part of a military contract with the Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm and delivered in two batches of 250 each during 1975 and 1976.
This one is from '75, and one of the nicest examples I've seen. I believe it's all original, down to the crystal (which is exceedingly hard to find). Of course, it's impossible to know whether the crystal was replaced but with a correct one, but considering its general condition, I'm inclined to believe it was with the watch.
The lume is excellent, the hands aged as I'd expect. Please note that there is some lume loss at the 3 o'clock marker.
The chronograph functions work perfectly. I'd be happy to send you a video if interested.
The overall condition of the case is excellent. When I bought the watch, the only issue was a scratch on the caseback that preceded me. Besides that, there's minor scuff marks from wear over the months but from some angles it looks perfect.
There are minor scuff marks on the crystal but they never bothered me, so I didn't do anything about them. You could probably remove them or replace the crystal, but the correct crystal is impossible to find so just keep that in mind.
I had the movement fully serviced by Zaf Basha last July/August, and wore it sparingly in that time.
The watch is with me in Washington, D.C. and will ship FedEx overnight priority, anywhere in the world. Shipping/insurance will be covered by me.
I can include the leather strap it's on, but if you don't want it, I'd rather keep it and put it on a NATO instead. Ultimately your choice!
I'm asking $6,500 or best offer for the watch. You're always welcome to make me an offer, or ask any questions you may have. I'm happy to provide any information to the best of my knowledge.
