That poor caseback. Even I could open that without leaving marks. Do you happen to know what the bezel is made of? Edit - photos for reference:
I love the JLC DSA as a watch, but that one was beat to sh!t. Anyone else shocked that it brought $17k?
Definitely well used and not necessarily well loved. The crowns are an issue, the bezel is thrashed beyond what some may find attractive, would have liked to have seen a better dial pic, and no movement pic? Not sure about that deal.

Hmm.....I wonder why Dr Shillington did not pay. Bet he's kicking himself now that it's gotten more expensive.
I am a real JLC and have a lot of respect for the manufacturer but whoever has the watch posted here on eBay does not deserve to have such a piece. I was pleased to see that he does not post to the UK, I might have felt sorry for it and bid, only joking.
^ but it was most likely used for its intended purpose back then. It was after all, made for diving. That being said, there is no excuse for the case back...but that's life.
