Saw it when he first listed over the weekend and then withdrew it after it went to £5K in 24 hours! definitely salvageable and rare with lollipop hand but a bit of a dog cosmetically. Odd the base 100 bezel is so shagged but the case has retained the definition on the lugs. Must have been stripped at some point for all the lume from the dial and hands to have been removed as it has been
I wondered about the bezel - odd that it should be so battered in the most important sector. It would be the find of a lifetime at a car boot for £20.....
This seller rubs me the wrong way. This is the second important vintage watch they've had in rough shape and both times, they pulled the listing when it received a lot of interest, did their homework (after the fact), and then re-listed it for higher.
Hi I purchased a watch from the seller MANY years ago like in the 1990s ..... Bruce i think is his name knew my in laws ..... Basically got a 30 mm Omega but the dial had weird scratch marks on it ! That was not in the auction photos . I returned it to them , they took it back no issue . I then later enquirer about another watch , he sent me a nasty email saying how I tried to clean that dial and I damaged it and sent it back to him ! Then told me he would not do business with me going forward . That was fine with me ! Really , I have done many watch deals over the years and never had a issue like that . Good Hunting Bill Sohne
I communicated with this seller on his earlier positing of the JLC. His shop is about 40minutes from me, and enquired about viewing the watch, and he declined stating it was an Internet auction only! Not a friendly man!
Please don't throw the next one you get in the bin...just send it to me. I'll pay the postage and give you gas money for the trip to the post office too.
