I don't have much info on this aside from it being an automatic chronometer at 42mm. It has a deep blue dial and apparently was made in very limited production. Anyone have more info about this beautiful piece? Also am curious how much these sell for as I have not seen any available.

Speedmaster broad arrow -Schumacher - 3159.50

I think they made 505 of them for Micheal Schumacher winning his 5th F1 Championship in 2002. So a 3303 movement, with a black dial. The AR coating makes it look blue in certain light and angles.

My guess if you can find one 20-25k plus. Might go up if any news about his Coma comes out or he passes from complications from his ski accident a few years back.

Are you certain? My understanding is that those have his name painted on the dial. This one obviously doesn't.

I doubt it'd be anything like 20-25k, these barely sell for half that in general as there are too many LEs, and too many gold models with initially high MSRPs around without buyers. At open auction I'd see it going for $6k-12k depending on how many interested bidders there were. There's really not that much gold content here either especially as there's no bracelet.

This is the one Gene Cernan has though from memory.

Yeah I thought about that value I was just going on what found in a quick search. 6k seems low for solid gold though I'll defer to you though.

The reason I called the LE over the 3653.80 is the minute track and date wheel is in gold not white. I missed the Schumacher was missing.

But here is a rub... The op watch does not match either. No schumie markings with a gold minute track and date wheel...

Just as an example here are some other automatic 18K solid gold Speedmasters that have sold on eBay recently:

Neither of these watches are chronometer grade. Also I have yet to find this particular model available for sale on the open market and thus suspect it is more limited than the average gold speedy.

The Pro isn't chronometer grade either, but its worth more than a Cal 3313.

How rare is this and has anyone seen this reference sold on the open market besides the listing mentioned?

    Ahh.

Given that Google turns up next to nothing, there are none on eBay other than that one, and chrono24 has one, but in yellow gold, it would be fair to assume that it isn't all that common.

Not a good imperical answer, but then there appears to be naff-all data.

The yellow gold variant, is Up for £4700:

It appears to be the same watch as Cernan's:

Actually no Cernan's was the chocolate starburst dial with red writing in two-tone not solid gold, I thought it was the same but its slightly different.
