Just spotted this one, looks very nice to me It's a 14355 cal 354 http://goo.gl/EUIxYC The seller is asking 17K Euro but is open to offers
Nearly 18K Euros... he's very optimistic, it is the exact watch I'm after, but there isn't anywhere near 18K Euros in it.
typical German eBay listing: no PayPal, no foreign shipping. The German sellers like to keep their watches.
Respectable Member Privateday7 I think the seller is aware that his watch is a dream time-piece for most of the Omega collectors. If he is in no hurry to sell, he will get his price finally sooner or later, since the value of this Constellation beauty is always going north. Whatever, we wish him good luck. Thank-you.
Looking at the Rolex vintage price, this is not too far fetched. He may have to wait 5 years, though.
One of my favorite quotes, forgive me for not being able to credit the person who said it: "You never pay too much. You just buy too soon." A watch like that will sell to the person who buys too soon. Frequently that's my story, but not this time and not on this scale...
What would be deemed a "fair" price here then? By fair I mean a price where both parties feel a little irritated, one for paying slightly too much and the other for selling slightly too cheaply
Can't comment on the market value, but that is by far the best, most accurate definition of "fair price" I have ever encountered!
Have had several opportunities to buy a such Connie at appr USD 5300, but didn't take any of them. Looking in the rear mirror, of course I should have bought one. But I favoured steel watches, and also thought it was to much money to spend on a heap of gold!
If I bought one for $1500. , would that be market value? Therefore $24282. is not necessarily market value, even if someone purchases for that amount. market value is only a formula end product.
Hi I would disagree , price of gold would effect a scrap value watch, where the price of the watch is about the scrap value of the gold it self. The example of the rose gold Connie value is greater then the scrap , also when you get a spike in gold prices alt of watches go the way f the dodo bird.... And get melted down. I have a few very heavy gold omega that I should have melted down when gold was at almost 2k.... But i could not bring myself to do it.... That is another story. 18k euros , not for me. That was never a dream watch for me personally , but it's someone's. Like an old friend used to tell me "when you buy quality you only cry once!". Good luck to the seller bill
Similar condition watch auction won by Sumerian last April 2013 in Christie's costs USD 13.5 K. I would say give or take $ 1K from that value would be the "fair price" for now?
