Well I believed I was on 2016 hiatus until I saw this.. and was conquered. Cal 505, light polish. Dial turns out much nicer than expected as does the overall condition of the watch. 1st pic shows crystal sticker attached with some flecks beneath. Now where to find the band?

It's even rose gold! Love it!

Consellations from that time period are my favorite.

It doesn´t matter what the year or the good intention....the allure and power of the Constellation can never be easily resisted :D

    Jeff,

don´t bother about the bracelet as this model does not have a gold bracelet and it would not fit!

    grande luxe_bea.jpg

The hooded lugs have a straight rim where the strap slips in... the bracelet reference (don´t remember the number right now) has 2 "arches" in this area to permit the bracelet to go in. I have photoshopped your picture and made it much brighter to see if there are gaps or not... I have also marked the described spots with red arrows.

I have this same ref. 2930 and it is a rare and beautiful ref. - huge congrats!

Be happy with what you have - you save a lot of bucks on the bracelet!

    best

Here's a pic of how the bracelet version looks (ref. on this is 14365):

To stress Erich's point - the lugs are indeed different (18k Rose Gold versions):

Strap only version like for the OP and Erich's:

    Bracelet version:

I got the strap version one first early on in my vintage omega career and my first thought was OMG the lugs have been polished to death - but I realized shortly thereafter that the rest of the watch looked unpolished and came to the conclusion the lugs are indeed different between the strap and bracelet models. Confirmed it further when I got a 3rd 18k rose gold model with bracelet (this one with cal. 354 while the top 2 have cal. 505) and while the lugs are slightly different still in configuration they are much closer to the bracelet version of the later model:

Seems the lugs is simply extended a bit and formed like the upper part of the bracelet......

Mine is a cal. 505 too btw....
