Yeah. It's a new trend. People think that using these "special" breathing masks it improves their work-out but it has been proved that they don't do much.

Going to a gym and paying to run on the spot ( who,d have thought people would pay money to do that )

I just jog to the gym and back ,or take the dogs to the beach.

Sure they do, the provide entertainment. Just last week a guy wearing one was trying to ask if he could use a machine but the older man on it couldn't understand him through the mask. He had to repeat himself several times and then spend 10 minutes answering questions the older man had about the mask. :D

Hahaha... Kids these days (I'm in that category myself, though). I saw one last year pass by me on a bicycle and didn't know what it was. Eventually I found out about it.

Not always an option for people with colder climates. My gym is my building so also matter of convenience.

Gym trends are always entertaining. One guy used to come to the gym with his personal set of kettle bells. About 75lb he used to lug from his apartment. He used to flip them and throw them in the air till the day on slipped and hit him in the chest. He was perfectly fine but that was the last time he ever brought the kettle bells.

There are plenty of natural, obvious, simple and classic ways to work out. Sadly people nowadays just go with the trends... You don't need to do what everyone else does to get fit. It's not like people never had abs before the invention of the TV, radio, internet...

Thanks @gemini4 for the award. I'd like to thank the academy and my wife for telling me I needed to get a hobby, then immediately regretting that statement when I told her that I wanted to buy "a few watches." I'd also like to thank @ulackfocus for keeping us all on our game and stepping in with the bat of authority when we get out of line or mention Speedmasters too much for his liking. In all seriousness, we have an internal forum where I work, and if the members there showed 1/10 of the enthusiasm and willingness to help people that the members do on this forum, our company would be the most profitable company in our industry and we would all have enough money to buy whatever watches we wanted!! Well maybe not that last part.

Oh yes they absolutely do help! They remove excess weight from your wallet, making your posture straighter, leading to a more balanced work-out. :D
