I know very little about Rolex and Tudor, but the dials are not the same. It looks like the original photo is a poor attempt to imitate the dial in the subsequence posts.

Thanks for your comment and feedback, I suppose it is only patina, but I have no knowledge to make a decision, and I wish to hear other members' feedback as well.

The mechanism is an FHF 59 calibre which Rolex used in the Tudors of the era. At the risk of having someone telling me that I don’t know what I’m talking about, it looks legitimate to me. In case someone compares the movement in the subject watch with the FHF 59 calibre in Ranfft, the plates on the subject watch have been tailored to Rolex specs.

It’s nice. Here are two that I used to have. Going by memory, that rose in shield logo is circa 1940s.

Small but wearable on a bund or even on metal.

I trust Canuck (above post). He knows.

The price was fair indeed.

Enjoy it.

I was actually thinking about the numerals. Compare the 9s for example. I don’t think there would be that much variation within the same reference. Or the subdial. But maybe the second example is not original. Or maybe they’re not the same.
