    Hi all,

they say as a vintage watch collecting rule never sell a watch that you may will never be able to replace. Up today is a real collectors tropical toffee brown gilt Swiss only dial, oyster perpetual date from 1964. The photo's do not do the dial on this watch justice.
As mentioned it’s a Rolex date ref 1500, gilt dial, with its original hooked seven’s date wheel, boxes and papers on its original tight expandable rivet bracelet (7205) with box and papers. The same bracelet used for early Daytona’s. The watch measures 34mm with 19mm lug width. According to the papers the watch was bought in Aden, Yemen. So, its possible there is a UK military connected period to this time? The watch was bought from the auction house 'Watches of Knights Bridge by myself some years ago and will be supplied with the original receipt and catalogue of the sale (which includes a full page dedicated to this watch).
Looking a close £5300 for this Rolex collectors piece with a real tropical dial not a damaged dial. Shipping will be included within the UK. Only trades I would be interested in are Bitcoin and 70-80’s moon watches.

Watches of Knight Bridge stock photos.

Funny how hot the modern Rolex market is and something so rare and special has just had a few nibbles?
One last try, Best reasonably offers considered before this one goes back to the collection to keep and be enjoyed.
    Have a great weekend.

    Thanks,
    Mike
    P.s. bracelet will fit 6 3/4 wrist.
