I have for sale a 5.5 serial 5513 Maxi dial Mk1 in great conditions, with a strong case and a perfect dial with original lume and delicious patina.
Serial dates back to 1978 and the dial is a fantastic example of Mk1 Maxi dial with the characteristic oversized hour plots.
The watch is original in every parts and runs well keeping good time.
The Mark 1 is the first versions of the latest series of 5513 matte dials (the so called "Maxi dials") and is the most desirable of the five dial variations.
The Maxi dial Mk 1 was introduced in 1977 to 1978 and corresponds only to cases produced in the early to mid 5 mil serial to early 6.0 serial.
The Mk 1 dial also is the only 5513 maxi-dial without the ‘sub on top’ what makes it even rarer.
CASE:
The case is even and thick.
Serial and reference number are fully visible.
Original 5513 caseback.
BEZEL INSERT:
Original Rolex MK3 insert in excellent conditions.
DIAL:
The dial is an original Maxi dial Mk1 variant with an eggshell patina even on all plots and all lettering is clearly visible and correct.
The hands are tritium and match perfectly to the dial.
Tritium is original and was checked with UVA light.
Dial shows no chips around the rehault and no scratches.
BRACELET:
The bracelet is the original 93150 with 580 endings in excellent conditions with 12 links.
Clasp is also original to the watch and the code (B) matches the year of the serial.
MOVEMENT:
Correct 1520 caliber running well.
The movement was serviced 4 years according to the previous owner.
Asking 18000 Euro, insured shipping included.
