Hi guys, I have for sale a full set 1984 5513 maxi dial mk 5 in amazing conditions, with an unpolished case, a perfect dial and original lume. The watch comes from the original owner, a collector friend of mine, and it was purchased in Milan in 1984 at the historical Rolex authorized dealer 'Gobbi'. The watch is in great condition and runs well keeping good time. The case is even and thick, and in my opinion it's unpolished. The bezel is original to the watch in mint condition. The Tritium lume pipe is also still intact The dial is an original maxi dial mk5 variant with a beautiful creamy patina even on all plots and all lettering is clearly visible and correct. The hands are tritium and match perfectly to the dial. Tritium is original and was checked with UVA light. The bracelet is the correct 93150 with 580 endings in mint conditions with no stretch, unpolished in my opinion. Also the clasp is original to the watch and the letter matches the year. The movement was serviced 3 years according to the previous owner. The crystal on the watch is the original T19 superdome. The watch comes with an extreme full set: its original box (and outer box), the Rolex guarantee (and guarantee holder), 1984 calendar, 'Your Rolex Oyster' and 'Submariner' booklets (year and language matching), anchor, tags. Asking 20000 Euro, insured shipping included. Payment method - I will accept Paypal gift payment and bank wire. Plenty of international references. View attachment 549506
Glad you are in Europe, or I would be getting a second mortgage on my house to buy that. Right in my wheelhouse
Yeah, I’m not even that much of a Rolex person but I think I might have to go change my underwear. Astonishing.
Yes, this watch is really magnificent However, why has the inside of the caseback the inscription 5512 when the watch is a 5513? I am far from being a Rolex expert so please forgive me if I am asking a stupid question...
It worries me not. Have seen many examples of early 5513 with a 5512 caseback. This would not at all detract me from the value or indeed its originality. GLWS.
Thanks for the clarification As I wrote, I am far from being an expert on Subs, always good to learn something new
