Please note, I am not interested in selling this watch, and will not put a number on it, so please don’t ask - I am only interested in trading for a 1675, Zenith Daytona, or 1019.

I've loved having this 5513, it gets no wrist time, so time to see if someone else can enjoy it.

I got this watch 3 years ago from an estate auction in CT - the story from the family is that the sister who was an avid diver and worked for Rolex in early 1970s bought 2 5513s, one for herself and one for her brother. This is the brother's watch, as the sister's watch, which was around 20 serials away, sold at the same action house a few months after I got this one.

As far as 5513s go, it's a great honest example with excellent patina and originality.

Case: Strong with even lugs and crown guards, evidence of minimal polished and sleeve wear, some bevels are intact.

Dial/Hands: Deep custard colored lume plots with matching hands, dial is excellent with no chips, scratches or flaws.

Movement: Movement runs, but service history is unknown - I would recommend a service if you plan on wearing often.

Insert/Bracelet/Crystal: MK3 fat font with stunning grey brown fade - I'd say its tropical, as it's very brown in certain lighting. I've not seen another insert with this coloring, and it really makes the watch pop. The bracelet is the original 9315 PATETED PENDING error bracelet in excellent condition. Crystal is original T-19 crystal in very good condition.

It comes with a period correct box too.

The only watches that I am interested in for trade is a 1675 GMT Master with custard lume and a strong case, a Zenith Daytona, or a 1019.

I'll get some better pics of it, as the watch is current at the bank, but here some glamour shots...
