Rolex Sub 114060 with "G" serial

Hi all. Looking to purchase my first Submariner preowned. The model in reference has no papers. Model is 114060 on the case, but serial on rehaut is Gxxxxxx (six digits following letter G). My research tells me the 114060 (no-date) was first released in 2012 but this serial would indicate 2010. Fake or possibly a franken?

Any input would be helpful. And thank you in advance.

It's entirely possible to have 6-digit Sub, with a G-serial #

I have a 114060. My understanding (although I am no expert by any means) is that the serial numbers are now pretty much completely random. Not sure what year Rolex decided to go in that direction - maybe around the time they began putting the serial number on the rehaut by the 6, instead of between the lugs?
