Hi all I have the opportunity to acquire a Sea dweller 126660 black at retail price. Unable to visit the AD to try it on in person. So to anyone who has worn one....how big does it look? A monster? thanks in advance.
The 44mm Sea Dweller Deep Sea 126660 is indeed a monster that sits like a hockey puck above the wrist. The 43mm Sea Dweller 126600 is much better fit.
Get it. If you find it's too big for you you can easily sell it. It is not that much bigger than the xl PO.
I own both the SD43 and the black Deepsea 126660. My wrist is 7 1/4”. The DS isn’t a “monster”, and doesn’t “sit like a hockey puck.” It’s a thick, but beautifully proportioned case. I enjoy wearing the DS - it gets more wrist time than the SD43 - but I enjoy both. Like you, I’d never had a DS on my wrist before I bought it. I’m glad I took the chance, though. It’s a keeper, for sure. Since you’ll be adjusting the bracelet yourself, get one of these: https://www.esslinger.com/horofix-s...ch-bracelet-link-screws-with-3-tips-included/ Note this tool has a 1.7mm (not 1.6) hollow ground tip. Of course, don’t buy a Deepsea just because you can get it for retail. But if you like big, bold dive watches, this is the one to have.
It isnt necessarily the diameter thats the worst part, its the thickness of the case. If you have small wrists then I would pass on it or it will look huge!
