    Hey folks,

From the reports that are coming in (have yet to confirm myself, but I have no reason to doubt them), the UK will be having a price rise of approximately 7% on June 1. This is to bring us in line with the rest of Europe, and to match the prices quoted for new models released at Basel.

    Cheers,

    Chris

Is this on top of the VAT going up to 20% as well? I realize you've got a somewhat protected market in the UK with high import duty and taxes but that's still going to make your job harder.

The VAT went up back in January, which brought with it a mini price rise - they put the price up slightly on top of the VAT increase. There just doesn't seem to be any respite at the moment!

As a point of reference, what would the after VAT numbers be on a Milgauss GV, Sub-C and Daytona?

Haven't got any firm figures on the Sub or Milgauss, but I would expect the Sub C LN to retail for £5300 (up from £4970), and the GV to retail at £5100 (up from £4770). The confirmed price for the Daytona is £7490

I feel the easy solution to the price increase is to buy used. You can buy a virtually untouched newer Rolex for 60% - 80% of the new list price. Probably avoid tax too.:)
