    I've been selling for years on ebay and Canadian Watch Collector and MWR under the name What Does Your Watch Say? Please PM for links to my ebay feedbacks and posts on CWC. I'm located in Cambridge, ON Canada. I can take PayPal payments, EMT within Canada and face to face cash transactions are ok too as long as you're willing to drive to the Cambridge, KW area. I pay for the tracked shipping within North America mailed through Canada Post, I don't use FedEx or UPS and International shipping is $25 CAD ($19 USD).     Fontmelon FHF 30-1 base movement

    Marked Rolex Geneve within a shield under the dial
    Serial number 277219
    Model 2784
    Steel case
    Steel screw down case back
    Original Rolex threaded tube
    Original Oyster Patent crown with Swiss cross
    Crown screws down correctly
    Case measures 30mm wide 39mm lug to lug and has 16mm lugs
    Dial shows well with some patina
    Case shows well
    Comes with a leather strap
    Movement winds sets and runs plus (+) 60 seconds over 24 hours dial up
    Acrylic crystal has shrunk and is loose and should be replaced

    The case back is engraved To John from Mam & Dad and has a Canadian WWII Regimental Number military service number B145809. The B refers to MD2 which represented Military District 2 Central Ontario (Toronto) where John was recruited.

    It’s fascinating to me that early and extremely rare Rolex are not valued through the roof.

    This one is only 30mm and it seems that unless a watch is the size of a hockey puck that there's no perceived value in it.

    I remember back in the late 80s and early 90s that bubblebacks were selling for $4k to $5k. Same watches are selling for significantly less now.

    But that's ok, more watches for those of us who like smaller cased watches :)
