I really need to get a black bezel sub as well at some point, but I do love how natural fading works with straps and stainless!
The good thing about a Rolex Sub is that you just need to change the bezel insert and not the complete bezel, unlike Omega.
haha yea like the previous owner of Trev's 2599.80, probably tried an insert change and hosed it. Apparently the inserts can be changed with the correct tools by a watchmaker but its never as clean as if its a full assembly. As for the one on the 1680, evenly faded original 1680 inserts like this one are now worth a fair bit now: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Rolex-Tudor-...Wristwatches&hash=item1c1a1d26cb#ht_748wt_907Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
It looks fantastic in person. I've mentioned to Ashley that I initially wasn't a big fan of it in photos. It has a real wow-factor in the flesh. Silver bezel looks great.
The black strap is in the bin! was cheap garbage. Actually looking at the development of a high end Australian made line of straps at the moment which could be interesting.
