Hi guys, I have for sale a 7.3 serial Rolex Explorer II ref.1655 from 1982 in great conditions, with a strong case, a beautiful dial and original lume. The watch is a beautiful example of the so called "Steve McQueen" Explorer II with the "Freccione" orange hand. CASE: The case is even and thick, lightly polished. Serial and reference number are fully visible. Original 1655 caseback. BEZEL INSERT: Original Rolex Mk 2 bezel in great conditions. DIAL/HANDS: The dial is an original mk5 dial with strong patina even on all plots and all lettering is clearly visible and correct. The hands are tritium and match perfectly to the dial. Tritium is original and was checked with UVA light. Correct open 6 and 9s date wheel. Dial shows no chips around the rehault and no scratches on the dial. Original matching orange 24-hour hand is perfect. BRACELET: The bracelet is the original 78360 with 580 endings in very good conditions, and also the clasp is original to the watch and the code (H) matches the year of the serial. MOVEMENT: Correct 1575 caliber running well. The movement was serviced 3 years ago according to the previous owner. Asking 18500 Euro, insured shipping included. I am not interested in any trade. I know, that's why I wrote "so called": despite the 1655's nickname, Mr.Steve McQueen was only pictured with his good old 5512!
