I'm in need of freeing up funds for the Snoopy watch I just put a deposit on, so, I am forced to do something I hoped I wouldn't have to... sell a watch. Up for sale is my Rolex Explorer II, reference 16570, Y serial, dated 2004. I purchased this near mint watch from Tony "justrolexes" Geha in June 2014. It has been worn about 4 times since that date. This package is 100% complete, box, papers, hang tags, bezel protector, booklets, etc. Bracelet has 12 links. Overall condition is outstanding and 100% unpolished. There are some swirls here and there on the bracelet, and a small mark or two on the bezel which are difficult to see. I can send additional high res pictures on demand. Watch runs beautifully, service history is unknown. I'm asking exactly what I paid for it, $4100 USD. Face to face (I'm in San Diego) or shipped CONUS. If outside CONUS, PM me and we can discuss. Paypal gift or include 4% for fees and buyer protection. Bank wire or other forms of payment are acceptable and can be discussed.
I appreciate the positive comments fellas, and wholeheartedly agree this piece wears like a dream, the few times it actually saw wrist time... but you have no idea how much anxiety I'm experiencing selling this ... and all the love being expressed is making me second guess letting it go... (then again, if Mrs Repo see's another new watch show up without some concession, I'll be selling half my watches, if you know what I mean )
Perhaps a wrist shot is in order? Maybe Event Horizon can give you tips on how to spice up the sales pitch.
Nice one. The chap you bought it from ,Tony Geha, is a reliable seller I've bought a watch from, and he typically sells nice Rolexes, this one being a good example.
Tony aka "justrolexes" is the best... we live pretty close to each other so its just a matter of meeting at a nearby Starbucks to transact. I've never seen anyone able to count money faster than Tony Consider this my gratuitous daily bump. I'm going to leave this sale on OF exclusively for now, but will post it over on TRF eventually, I just want OF members to have first dibs.
Ok I don't like giving out my exclusive selling tips for free but I like this forum. Tip 1 those photos are far too clear and sharp, try smearing a bit of grease across the camera lens this gives a lovely edge to your photos. Tip 2 your trying too hard and haven't named all the blemishes, if it doesn't have any then make some up. Tip 3 and the last one, I ain't giving up all my alchemy in one burst. Don't be afraid to insult any prospective customers, the idiots on here are too thick to recognise subtlety. Ps I expect at least 5% commission on your sale now it's a certainty. Very nice watch by the way that baby comes with everything!
lol @Event horizon . When I wrote up this ad, I was thinking of you and your selling strategy the whole time... Had I chosen to employ your methods, I could have then gone back to Mrs Repo, with a straight face saying "I posted it for sale, it just didn't sell, I guess I have to keep it". You sir, are a genius. Maybe I'll run an experiment, and list this same watch, but with all the tips above, under a different ad and under a different name... I will be rude to prospective buyers, non-responsive and demand unreasonable methods of payment. It will probably sell for a ridiculous premium that way, and yes, I would most certainly owe you at least 5%.
